Tonight I am beginning a five month training as a “critical friend” on this Eco-Sensory course run by Chris West, Claire Pemerick and Dr.Matt Slavin. I will be pinning down some of my learning in my practice during lockdown and throughout my career. I have always known that working outside had a regulatory impact. It is also a shared impact…I am curious as to whether this also increases our capacity as therapists/supervisors to hold more deeply? My background has always ben in “working” with the most vulnerable people in our society and working outside has always been seen as risky or a bit “wacky” and yet it has been in the moments when I have moved outside for a clinical reason that something profound has happened that could not have happened in the therapy room. I am really excited. can you tell?
